Alt-rock newcomer S.J. Lones is celebrating the release of their debut single 'Sweethaunt' with a launch show at the Botany View Hotel.
Introspective and laced with snark, cynicism and plenty of self-deprecating humour, S.J. Lones covers a span of genres as a songwriter. Centred around melancholic and esoteric acoustic chord progressions, S.J. Lones and his band veer from bouncy bossa nova, to hard rock riffs, to indie sensibility - usually with noisy outros...
S.J.Lones' debut single, the spooky, schadenfreude-laden love song 'Sweethaunt' will release off the back of the gig fittingly close to Halloween, and will form part of an album 'Cake for One' to be released as a set of singles over the coming months. The project was proudly recorded and produced with the support of Sydney-based independent studio, Sole Canopy.
Supporting S.J. Lones are Kiz + the Sea, dream-pop project of songwriter Kiralee Bray & Matt Baker, and Denison, singer-songwriter and self-confessed over-thinker.
